
We’re looking for the right people to join our Commercial and Municipal Design Team who are passionate about creating amazing places for people to truly live. As we continue to grow in our 27th season, we are expanding our services of award-winning designs through the Port Hope to Ottawa areas, and require a Junior Landscape Architect/Designer and Drawing Production Technician.
Our office is located in Picton Ontario, in the heart of beautiful Prince Edward County. Our Landscape Architecture department of twelve designers includes our commercial and municipal design department, as well Residential Estate Design and supports our twenty Landscape Design/Build/Management teams.
As founding members of the Come Alive Outside movement, we design outdoor environments that get people outside and active to live healthier lives. Our work has been recognized with over thirty awards over the past five years, including the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects and Landscape Ontario.

Junior Landscape Architect/Designer – Commercial/Municipal Design
Duties and Responsibilities
- preparing construction drawings and details for Commercial/Municipal Landscape Architectural projects
- produce Design Development drawings and creative graphic presentations
- assist with quantity take-offs, tendering and contract documents
- assist with contract administration services
Applicants should possess or be working towards the following qualities:
- diploma or degree in landscape architecture/landscape design
- three years minimum experience in Commercial landscape design, including technical construction detailing and Project Management
- experience in preparing Site Plan Control drawings, Tender drawing packages, construction details and specifications
- minimum five years experience in AutoCAD (2016 or newer), Adobe Suites CC 2017, SketchUp Pro, Microsoft Office
- construction knowledge and field experience
- ability to adapt and learn within a fast-paced collaborative team environment
- attention to detail and balance multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency
- organized with excellent written, verbal and graphic communication skills
- valid “G” class driver’s license
Drawing Production Technician - Commercial/Municipal Design
Duties and Responsibilities
- preparing construction drawings and details for Commercial/Municipal design division
- coordination and collaboration with Landscape Architects and Design/Build team
- helping to prepare creative graphic 3-D renderings, rendered site plans and presentation drawings
- assistance in project administration tasks such as Work Orders, Specifications, etc.
Applicants should possess or be working towards the following qualities:
- diploma in Architectural Technology, Landscape Architecture/Design, AutoCAD, or other technical program
- minimum five years experience using the following software: AutoCAD 2016 or newer, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite – InDesign and Photoshop CC 2017
- experience in 3D rendering software such as SketchUp Pro an asset
- experience in preparing Tender drawing packages, details and specifications
- ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency
- well organized with excellent written, verbal and graphic communication skills
- site plan development skill such as obtaining field measurements and elevations
- valid “G” class driver’s license
