PEC, $20 - $23 an hour, Full-Time Seasonal

• Oversee daily activities of a small crew and ensure tasks are completed in a safe and timely manner • Provide training, guidance and feedback to the Turf team • Turf maintenance using a variety of equipment including slit seeder, broadcasters and aerators
• Assist with sodding, seeding, fertilizing, aerating and topdressing
• Must be able to drive truck and trailer • Assist with site cleanup (street sweeping/scrubbing, litter control, pressure washing, waste handling and pavement wash-down)
• Assist with other duties as required • Ontario Secondary School Diploma preferred
• CCHT (Canadian Certified Horticultural Technician)-Landscape Maintenance designation is an asset • Familiar with Occupational Health & Safety Act and C.P.R. Basic Rescuer/First Aid is an asset • Valid Ontario driver’s license (class G/G2) with a clean abstract • Able to meet the physical requirements of the job including bending, lifting, utilizing hand tools and working in various weather conditions (must be able to lift, pull and push 20kg) • Ability to work co-operatively in a team setting
• Must provide own CSA approved safety footwear • Able to wear personal protective equipment deemed necessary to perform this job safely (may include; gloves, mask and/or face shield, non-slip shoes etc Job Types: Full-time, Contract Contract length: 8 months

Salary: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
