This year we hosted our first ever Come Alive Outside Design Challenge in October.
We invited students from two Ontario colleges to join us in Picton and challenged them to design a new and improved schoolyard for a local daycare/elementary school. The winning team's design would begin first phase implementation in Spring 2017. After two months of hardwork the four teams submitted their final designs for judging by Landscape Ontario representatives, Come Alive Outside representatives, and Wentworth Landscapes representatives. In January the winning team was announced at Landscape Ontario Congress.
Congratulations to Nicole Greshuk, Jacob Pacitto, Marco Parisi and the Seneca Team who won the 2016 Ontario Design Challenge. The winning team's design featured a sensory garden, tire dragon, music wall and even a racetrack! To find out more about the winning team's design check out their full plan.
